At Diversity Inside Us, we believe every child deserves the chance to play, grow, and belong, no matter their family’s income. That’s why we run free football sessions for children aged 5–16, creating a safe, fun, and inspiring environment where young people can develop confidence, teamwork skills, and a love for sport.
Why We Do It…
For many families on low incomes, the cost of sports clubs, equipment, or activity fees can make children’s activities feel out of reach. We’re here to change that.
Our mission is simple: remove barriers so every child can participate, stay active, and feel supported.
A Real Story: Meet Elvis
When 10-year-old Elvis first came to us, he had never played in a football club. His mum works two part-time jobs just to manage day-to-day expenses. Sports clubs were something they simply couldn’t afford.
Elvis arrived shy, nervous, and unsure of himself.
But week by week, things began to change.
With the encouragement of our volunteers and the support of new friends, Elvis started gaining confidence, on and off the pitch. Today, he is one of the first to arrive, proudly wearing his donated boots, leading warm-ups, and helping younger children feel welcomed, just like he once needed.
His mum told us:
“You didn’t just give Elvis football—you gave him confidence, structure, and joy. I can’t thank you enough.”
Stories like Elvis’s are why we do what we do.
